FIRST STOP:
Bernard - One of the most scenic fishing villages with it's many lobster boats and lobster traps along the wharf. Check out Thurston's Lobster Pound for a lobster roll or a hamburger, the view and the food are spectacular!

AFTER LUNCH:
Head to Bass Harbor, which on the opposite side of Bernard and is also very picturesque. Here you can catch The Swans Island Ferry. Visit the Old Red Store. Check out menu for a possible breakfast at Seafood Ketch, they have a delightful menu to tempt your palette. One of our most favorite places is Mainly Delight, known for it's "Dough Boys" and beautiful sunsets. Head up the hill to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse, one of the most photographed lighthouses in all of New England. As you leave the lighthouse, travel around to Seawall Beach, a great place for a picnic, walk along the beautiful coastline, feed the seagulls, or just sit and enjoy life!

SOUTHWEST HARBOR:

In the Southwest Harbor you will find a lot of gift shops, and coffee shops. Stop by MDI sportswear and say a quick hello to Nancy & Christina. Looking for a nice Maine gift shop? Well stop by Sand Castle gift shop and be sure to say hello to Jess for us!
The next shop would be the "Quiet Side", here you can enjoy Maine's best treats, ice cream and relax at the park. I am sure Ralph and Francis will be there to greet you. Around the corner next to the Park you will find Kathy Tew's Antique and Gift Shop which is new this year. Don't forget to stop by "Hatched on MDI" owned by Heather Gray. She carries everything you need for the little one aged 0 to 12 years old.
